Matthew's Birthday and Andersonville Trip ~ May 2010

Happy birthday, Matthew!

Later on in May, we took a trip to see the Andersonville site. This was a place where, during the Civil War, prisoners from the north were kept. It was very interesting and sad to see.

A spring that was found by one of the men imprisoned there. Thank goodness for that, because otherwise they would've depended upon a filthy little stream that ran through the middle of the compound!

Close up of spring and fountain.

Interesting design to bring spring water to the fountain.

The doors were very big and heavy!

Random Kid Photos

Here are more photos of the kids from spring-early summer of 2010. What a flashback!

Sarah after trying a green smoothie! I don't think her eyes can get any bigger. She did like it, though. :)

This is how Sarah fell asleep one night on the couch. I guess she was really tired!

Stephen's 6th birthday, 2010.

This isn't the best photo, but I love it for the look of sheer joy on Timothy's face: "Yay, cake!"

The kids really loved the playground out back and would spend many hours out there...

Rachel really enjoyed pushing Sarah on the swing. Unfortunately, the swing would often get away from her!

Easter 2010

We had a nice meal at our place with some friends, then the kids hunted for Easter eggs in our yard.

Snowmageddon 2010-GA Style

We didn't get as plastered with snow as our friends and family to the north, but it was a rare (so we heard) treat to get this "much" snow down here. Needless to say, it did not happen in early 2011. Rats!
